Bear Grylls caused quite the commotion among Good Morning Britain viewers on Friday morning as he debuted his new handlebar moustache.

The survivalist, 45, left fans very distracted by his facial hair with watchers of the ITV show hilariously comparing him to a '70's porn star.' 

Bear joined hosts Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins on the show to talk about fundraising for the African conservation charity Tusk, but talk soon turned to his newly-grown moustache.

The star told how he was growing it as part of Movember, which is the annual event of growing moustaches to raise awareness of men's health issues.  

Speaking about his facial fur, he joked: 'I find myself in a situation when I apologise before they even say anything.' 

However, while Bear seemed content with his moutache, he revealed that his wife hates it and that he'll shave it all off in time for the filming of his new Netflix series.

And it seems that his wife isn't the only one against The adventurer's new look, as fans took to Twitter to mock him.
