Primary schools may give children safety courses to help them navigate the dangers of the internet before issuing 'digital licenses'.
Shadow education minister Tanya Plibersek said teaching children skills to use the internet safely was 'crucial' and if Labor was elected to government it would roll out two programs - one to kids aged five to nine and another for 10-14-year-olds.
'For years our kids have been getting a pen licence as they learn to write, 나눔로또파워볼 this is the pen licence for the digital age,' she said.

The program would be established over three years at a cost of $6 million which would also cover a course by Media Literacy Lab for children aged 12-16 to help them discern disinformation online.
'There is clear evidence that digital licences have a positive impact on children's safety online,' Ms Plibersek said.
