Known for his easy-going beach-bum persona, Jimmy Buffett has parlayed his success as a musician into an array of business ventures, including restaurants, cafes, retail stores and casinos, among others.

He not only uses his famous name and likeness as part of his sales pitch, the Mississippi native does most of his business dealings under his United States-based hospitality company, Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, which is a play on words with his most famous song that's been a staple in his setlist since 1977.

And now, some 36-years after his opened his first Margaritaville retail store in Key West, Florida, his adopted home, Buffett is now taking his hotel and restaurant chain to the high seas, according to
