They've been spending the summer at their family home in Lake Como, Italy with their twins Ella and Alexander, four.

And George and Amal Clooney enjoyed a night away from their children on Tuesday as they exited the Villa Vittoria restaurant alongside Amal's sister Tara Alamuddin.

The couple appeared relaxed as they climbed into a waiting car, with Amal, 43, looking elegant in a flowing orange dress, while George, 60, kept his look casual.

The Ocean's 11 star donned a simple black shirt and cream trousers, teamed with monochrome trainers.

While his lawyer wife allowed her raven locks to cascade over her shoulders in loose waves.  

It comes as last month the celebrity couple were forced to shut down speculation they were expecting their third child. 

Insiders had earlier claimed that the happy couple, who wed in 2014, had told their close friends that they were expanding their family when they threw a small dinner party near their Italian villa on July 4th.

However speaking at the end of July, their representative shut down any speculation and said: 'Stories saying that Amal Clooney is pregnant are not true.' 

Previously sparking speculation the Clooneys were adding another baby to their brood, a source had told : 'Amal's said to be past her first trimester. She's already starting to show, so soon enough, everyone will know.' 

The couple were spotted out with pals on July 20, where Amal sported a form-fitting white dress. 

It was reported in June that George had whizzed his wife and their children to Lake Como ahead of the twins' fourth birthday.
