Elton John was seen emerging from his New York City hotel on Friday in order to head to New Jersey for a concert date.

The 74-year-old musical legend is currently in the midst of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which is slated to wrap up next year.

For his pre-stage outfit that evening, Elton selected an eye-popping set of purple Gucci sweats and a matching pair of shades.

The Candle In The Wind crooner warded off the wintertime northeastern chill by wrapping himself in a bomber jacket.

Completing his ensemble with a pair of sneakers, he kept his mask on while heading off onto the sidewalk in the city that never sleeps.

Elton is scheduled to give a Friday night performance at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey as part of his latest string of concert dates.

He announced his current farewell tour in 2018, at which point the whole project was meant to last three years spanning over 300 gigs.

However with the delays brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, the tour will now be stretched across five years and come to a conclusion in 2023.

Elton began his tour in September 2018 at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and performed consistently till the lockdowns began.

That stretch of dates saw him whirl through not just North America but also several European countries as well as Australia and New Zealand.

After postponing his shows on account of the pandemic, he made his grand return to his farewell tour last month at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
