Amber Heard became close to an Australian football player during her time in Australia, a new report claims.
reported on Saturday that Gold Coast Suns and Hawthorn player Mitch Hallahan, 29, was a 'confidant' for the actress, 36, during her time on the Gold Coast in 2017, where she was working on the film Aquaman.
The pair allegedly met at The Star Casino when Heard was attending private function, while Hallahan was at another event at the same venue.

'It was purely organic and by chance over a glass of red wine,' an alleged source tells the paper of their meeting.
The source also described Heard as 'intelligent, charismatic and caring' and she and the AFL star formed a 'firm friendship'.

She later reunited with Tesla billionaire Elon Musk, 50, with whom she shared an on-off romance.
Representatives for both Heard and Hallahan declined to comment when approached by The Herald Sun.

Heard is currently embroiled in a legal battle with her former husband, Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp, 58.
Depp is suing Heard for $50million, claiming she defamed him and ruined his career after a 2018 Washington Post article in which she described herself as a domestic abuse survivor. She is countersuing for $100million.
