Many written accounts of dogs have been found various literary researches that date back to centuries.

Fiest dog breeds are known for treeing; they locate their prey by keeping still and by using their eyes, ears and nose; and one they are able to locate it, they go ahead and begin their chase by treeing; once they have treed a squirrel, they will chase it continuously until it has been hunted down or has left the dog's area of vision.

The funny part about the chase is that, although these dogs put up a great chase, they never really catch a squirrel, or at least not most of the time; because they expect their owners to shoot them and do the job!
A fiest dog is one of the dog 'types' (breeds) bred in the rural southern United Stated; there are majorly bred to hunt squirrels and for other such small games.
Now, hound dog breeds on the other hand are hunter dogs too, but don't begin their chase at the sight of a squirrel (unless they are of the sight hound breed).
A hound can be trained to hunt and to do certain things, but then; these dogs don't just pounce upon the job at once, they want to understand why they have to do the job, however if the job to them seems not worthy enough; they simply ignore you!
